Character Curriculum
This curriculum is centred around giving pupils life skills and opportunities to enable them to grow their individual characters.
We also place a significant emphasis on giving our children opportunities to increase their 'cultural capital'.
Cultural capital is an educational term to describe a person who is knowledgeable about a wide range of cultures, is comfortable discussing their value and merits, and has been given a vast array of experiences and access to skill development.
Cultural capital gives the vital background knowledge required to be informed and thoughtful members of our community, who understand British values.
Opportunities for our children to develop their cultural capital are planned within the curriculum design and supported by school visits and experiences.
